For day visitors with tickets looking to self park, do you have to pre book or just pay at the gate.

    Royal greetings, David!

Welcome back to planDisney. We're delighted you've returned with another excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! It looks like you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth tomorrow. Prepare to enter a world filled with wonder and enchantment! Now, as your travel party gears up for the theme park thrills ahead, let's ensure you're prepared to park your chariot before heading off on your fun-filled day.

David, while complimentary transportation is offered to Guests enjoying the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, my family enjoys leaving our personal vehicle in the parking lot while enjoying our day. We began this practice when my son was an infant so that we'd have a quick and easy way to return to our Disney Resort hotel for nap time, but we've since found the convenience is unmatched! I'm happy to inform you that day Guests visiting the theme parks do not pre-pay for parking. You'll be able to submit payment for parking right at the theme park entrance! At this time, Guests have the option to select standard parking for $30 per day or preferred parking for $45-55 per day (subject to change and season). Preferred parking lots are located conveniently close to each theme park's main entrance, allowing you to save your steps for inside the parks!

If you'll be using a theme park ticket with the Park Hopper option and will be "hopping" between the theme parks, you'll be happy to know that your parking privileges extend to all four parks. Simply save the receipt from the first theme park when you pay, show it to the Cast Member attending the parking lot at the next park(s) you visit, and you'll be good to go!

David, I encourage you to download and utilize the My Disney Experience mobile app tomorrow while visiting the theme parks. Within the app, the Car Locator feature will allow you to enter the location of your parked vehicle, making it easy to find your ride when it's time to head home for the evening. I have a memory like everyone's favorite forgetful fish friend, Dory, so I rely heavily on this feature during any theme park day!

I hope you've found this information helpful, David. I wish you a holiday filled with magical memories! If you have any additional questions throughout your visit, please feel free to pop back over to planDisney anytime. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
