I am planning to eat breakfast at Chef Mickey's before starting the day at Magic Kingdom. Can I park at Chef Mickey's, then use the monorail to spend the day at Magic Kingdom? Or will I need to move my car after eating?

    Hi Amy!

What a magical start to your day, dining with Mickey and the gang at Chef Mickey's! This character breakfast is a delightful way to kick off a day full of fun. Chef Mickey's is located at Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Magic Kingdom Park as the resort is connected by the Walt Disney World Monorail!

Typically, parking at the resort is intended for guests who are either staying there or have a dining reservation. When you arrive at Disney's Contemporary Resort for your breakfast at Chef Mickey's, you'll be allowed to park for the duration of your dining experience. Generally, resort parking is intended for a few hours' use, rather than all-day parking for park guests.

Disney understands that plans can intertwine, especially with theme park visits following dining reservations. It's not uncommon for guests to park at the resort for dining and then head to the park afterward. The key is to communicate your plans! When you arrive, let the parking attendant know about your reservation at Chef Mickey's and your intention to visit Magic Kingdom afterward. They can then provide guidance based on the current parking policy and capacity for the day.

If it's a really busy day, or if resort parking policies are strictly enforced, you might be advised to move your car to the Magic Kingdom parking lot at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), which is well-equipped to handle guests for the whole day. From there, you can hop on the monorail or ferry to reach the Magic Kingdom entrance.

Remember, policies can change, and parking availability can vary by season and park capacity, so it's always a good idea to have a backup plan. Enjoy your breakfast with Mickey and friends, and here's to a magical day at the Magic Kingdom!
