Royal greetings, Shruti, and welcome to planDisney! You'll be visiting
Walt Disney World Resort during the festive holiday season, so let's look at tips for booking magical dining experiences during your stay. Your family deserves to be treated like royalty!
Advanced Dining Reservations
open at the 60-day mark for all guests, no matter where they're staying. Guests of Disney Resort hotels can make dining reservations for the length of their stay (up to ten days) when that 60-day window opens. This is a huge advantage because, as a guest of
Disney's Contemporary Resort, you can search availability for up to ten days.
According to my calculations, dining for December 3 will open on October 4, so you should be able to make dining reservations for the length of your Disney Resort hotel stay at that time. The window typically opens around 6:00 AM, so I suggest grabbing a Mickey mug of coffee and logging in about 15 minutes early. I always have my calendar, itinerary, and list of desired dining close at hand. I also have my
mobile app ready as a backup in case my WiFi is glitchy. As Scar says, "Be prepared!"
My tip is to look for a reservation at
Cinderella's Royal Table for later in your visit. Like most character dining experiences, this restaurant books up quickly. If you're unable to find an opening, keep checking! I've had excellent luck with reservations appearing in the days leading up to my trip. Guests change their plans often, so persistence does pay off.
If you're interested in any tours or experiences in the
Enchanting Extras Collection, you can also book those for the length of your stay when that window opens. I recommend
Up Close with Rhinos at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. My tour group went "backstage" to learn more about these endangered animals, and I even touched a rhinoceros!
Shruti, I'm wishing on a star you secure some magical dining and more for your December holiday. Please stop by
planDisney anytime. We'll always greet you with regal fanfare!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
