Welcome to planDisney, Bill! Getting everyone’s schedules aligned can feel like navigating an attraction queue, so you’re definitely not alone here. Let’s walk through what might be happening and how to get you back on track.
As you know,
theme park reservations are required for both
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park, even with a 3-day Park Hopper ticket. The good news is that modifying reservations is typically flexible, but there are a couple of key factors that can prevent changes.
First, reservations can be modified up until 11:59 PM Pacific Time the night before your scheduled visit. After that cutoff, the date is locked in and can’t be changed. Same-day modifications also aren’t allowed currently, so if you’re trying to adjust a reservation for today, that could explain why the app isn’t allowing updates.
The other important piece is availability. Even if your tickets are valid, you’ll only be able to switch to dates that still have open reservation slots for your specific ticket type. Some days can fill up quickly, so I recommend checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar for your ticket to see what options are currently open.
If both of those conditions are met and you’re still unable to make changes, your best next step is to contact the
App and Online Support team. They can take a closer look at your account and help resolve any technical issues you may be experiencing with the
Disneyland app.
Speaking of the Disneyland app, it will be one of your most helpful tools throughout your visit. Not only can you manage your tickets and reservations, but you can also check attraction wait times, browse dining options, and view entertainment schedules all in one place. You can even use the search feature to quickly locate everything from character meets to your next cold brew stop. Having that information at your fingertips can make navigating both parks feel much more seamless once you arrive.
Bill, I hope this helps you get everything squared away so you can move forward with confidence in your planning. If any other questions come up along the way, please don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
Wishing you a smooth planning process and a visit filled with well-timed rides and easy park days,
David
