I'm trying to make reservations with my Magic Key Pass, however the calendar does not show any dates from May 9th forward. This seems weird to only show 3 weeks worth of availability, and nothing after. Is it because of my renewal date of my pass?

Hello, Jessica. From one Magic Key holder to another, welcome to planDisney! It sounds like your renewal date is approaching, and I think you're exactly right about why reservations aren't showing for future dates. Let's get into the details!

You can only book reservations on your current Magic Key pass through its expiration date. That leads me to think your pass likely expires around May 8. If that's the case, you should be able to renew your pass now, since you're within the 30-day window of its expiration date.

Once your Magic Key pass renewal is complete, you should be able to start making reservations for future dates (typically up to three months in advance, subject to availability). The renewed pass would become active automatically the day after your current pass expires.

There's a benefit to renewing a little early, Jessica. You should be able to make theme park reservations using both your current pass (up to the expiration date) and your new pass (starting the next day). Just make sure you select the right pass (current or renewed) when making a reservation, as the available date range will be different depending on which you choose.

When you're ready, you can renew your pass on the Disneyland website or the Disneyland mobile app. On the website, log in to your Disney account and visit the pass renewal page. All the Magic Key passes linked to your account should be listed. From there, select the pass level you would like to renew at and follow the prompts to complete your purchase. In the mobile app, scroll down to the "Magic Key Portal" tile on the home screen and tap "Enter Portal." Scroll down again and tap "Renew Magic Key Passes" under "Quick Links." Any passes in the renewal window should show up there.

We have a lot to look forward to at the Disneyland Resort this year, from the continued 70th Anniversary Celebration to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge timeline expansion, the debut of Soarin' Across America, Halloween Time, the Holidays, and more. It's a good time to be a Magic Key holder!

Jessica, I hope you continue enjoying your Magic Key pass and that your renewal goes smoothly. If you think of any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.
