Hi there, Kristin!
I'm sorry to hear that your daughter is in a cast! It is always stressful when our kids are injured, but I'm glad that you are still planning to continue with your vacation.
I definitely recommend renting a manual wheelchair from the
Stroller Shop right next to the Disneyland Park entrance. Spending a full day walking in a boot would be exhausting for anyone! Wheelchairs are available on a first‑come, first‑served basis, so arriving early is your best bet. They also rent Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs), but those are only available to Guests 18 and older.
Many attractions have queues that can accommodate wheelchairs, and your daughter can just transfer into the ride vehicle when it’s time to board. Some attractions even offer wheelchair‑accessible ride vehicles so Guests can stay in their chairs. To see what’s available, open the
Disneyland app and tap the teardrop icon at the bottom to bring up the map. Then tap the filter icon at the top and scroll to “Mobility Disabilities.” From there, you can filter for exactly what she needs, including attractions where Guests can remain in their wheelchair (or ECV).
Several attractions in Disneyland Park also offer a Location to Return Time for Guests who can’t navigate some of the older, narrower queues. This includes most of Fantasyland, plus others like Space Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Pirates of the Caribbean. You’ll find the full list toward the end of the
Accessing Attraction Queues page. When you are in the parks, just speak with a Cast Member at the attraction entrance to get a return time. Just keep in mind that this option isn’t available in Disney California Adventure Park.
I also suggest purchasing
Lightning Lane Multi Pass to help cut down on the time you’ll spend waiting in line. You can buy it as soon as you scan into a park (subject to availability), and it really does make navigating the parks so much easier. Plus, most
Disney PhotoPass digital photos are included with Multi Pass, which is the perfect excuse to grab more family photos throughout the day!
Kristin, I hope this information is helpful. I'm wishing your daughter a smooth recovery and your family a magical visit to Disneyland!
Magic Happens!
Jen
