Avast Ye Matey!
Welcome aboard
planDisney, Kimberly, where you will find a ship full of Disney loving scallywags here to help answer your vacation questions. I’m glad you brought your question here to avoid having to walk the plank for bringing prohibited items on board a
Disney Cruise Line sailing. Of course, I’m only kidding, as prohibited items will merely be confiscated, no walking the plank required.
I'm happy to hear your husband plans to unleash his inner hero during the
Marvel Day at Sea. Dressing in costume is a great way to immerse yourself in the magic of a Disney cruise. Here is what I found about bringing costume items onboard Disney Cruise Line cruises.
Disney Cruise Line has a zero weapons policy for all Guests and Crew to maintain a safe and secure environment on board. Firearm replicas, including non-firing, imitations, toys and their components are prohibited. However, some toys are allowed on board. This includes store-bought light sabers, plastic toy “pirate” swords, and plastic store-bought toy “Mjolnir” hammers (Thor’s hammer). I believe your husband’s toy sword handles will fall under the umbrella of these allowed items. You can read the complete list of items prohibited on board Disney Cruise Line ships on the
Prohibited and Restricted Items page.
Have a wonderful time sailing with
Disney Cruise Line, Kimberly! If we can help answer any more of your questions, or offer tips or recommendations, please sail back by planDisney. We are always happy to set sail in search of answers.
Happy Cruising!
