Is it correct that Deluxe Studios in Jambo House have less square footage than the ones in Kidani Village and that a Standard Room has less square footage than both of those?

    Jambo, Robert!

I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with your question! It sounds like you're planning a holiday visit and considering Disney's Animal Kingdom Resort area as your home away from home. What a fantastic choice! Animal Kingdom Lodge is breathtaking any time of year, but extra magical during the holiday season.

When it comes to room layouts and overall size, the accommodations at Jambo House and Kidani Village are actually very comparable. Deluxe Studios at Jambo House measure 365 square feet and include one queen bed and one double-size sleeper sofa. Standard Resort Rooms at Animal Kingdom Lodge are just slightly smaller at 344 square feet and feature two queen beds. Over at Kidani Village, Deluxe Studios are 366 square feet and offer one queen bed along with one queen-size pull-down bed.

The biggest difference isn't really the square footage; it's the added convenience of the kitchenette found in the Deluxe Studios. Each studio includes a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and a bar-sized sink.

If you do end up staying in the Animal Kingdom Resort area, I have to share something that's at the very top of my own Disney wish list, the Starlight Safari at Animal Kingdom Lodge! I'm hoping to experience it during my next visit because it sounds absolutely incredible. You'll climb aboard an open-air safari vehicle after the sun goes down and head out onto the savanna with special night-vision equipment, giving you the chance to spot the animals in a completely different way than you would during the day.

The Starlight Safari is part of Disney's Enchanting Extras Collection, and if you're staying at a Disney Resort, you can book your reservation up to 60 days before your arrival. I've heard it fills up quickly, so if it's something you'd like to do, I'd recommend adding it to your must-do list as soon as your booking window opens!

Robert, I hope this information helps as you continue putting the finishing touches on your trip plans! If any other questions come up while you're getting ready for your visit, you're always welcome to swing by and ask us another question at planDisney. We'd love to help!

    Have a WILD time,
