Hi Michael! Welcome to planDisney. It sounds like you would like to know your options when it comes to unused park hopper tickets. I am happy to share some next steps with you!
If the
tickets have been completely unused, you are able to
apply that ticket towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket. The only caveat is that the new ticket must be at a price that is equal or greater than the amount of the original ticket. (In other words, you cannot use an old ticket to split the value and purchase multiple lower-priced tickets.) If you would like to go this route, a friendly Cast Member at the
Tickets phone line will be able to assist you.
Another option is that, as long as your park hopper tickets are completely unused, they may be eligible to be upgraded to a
Magic Key, even if they have expired. If you would like to choose this option, you would need to visit an onsite ticket booth to complete the upgrade. (Wholly unused tickets cannot be upgraded online or in the
Disneyland App.) Just a quick note: the Magic Key's current price must be equal to or greater than the amount paid for the ticket!
However, if the park hopper tickets have been partially used (i.e. you have entered the park using these tickets at least once), then unfortunately, they cannot be applied towards the purchase of a future of a new theme park ticket. According to the
Disney eTicket Terms and Conditions, non-promotional multi-day tickets must be used within 13 days of first use or by the stated expiration date, whichever comes first.
Michael, I hope this helps explain your options and makes it a little easier to decide what works best for you. If any other questions come up as you plan your next visit, please stop by planDisney again. We'd be delighted to help!
Wishing you a magical visit!
David
