    How to upgrade pass

    Hiya, Betty!

Adding more magic to your Disneyland Resort experience sounds amazing.

If you are interested in modifying a regular theme park ticket to add more days or features such as the Park Hopper option, you may simply visit the ticket modification page, select the ticket to modify, and follow the directions online. If you have an eligible ticket that you would like to upgrade to a Disneyland Resort Magic Key pass, an upgrade may be done in the Disneyland mobile app after the ticket has been activated but before the ticket expires or on its last day of use. Simply visit the My Tickets & Passes screen and tap the “Upgrade to a Magic Key Pass” button to begin. If your ticket has not yet been activated or you have a special circumstance like multiple payment types or payment by cash, such modifications may only be done in person at a main entrance ticket booth.

If you are currently a Magic Key holder and you are not yet within your renewal window, you may upgrade your existing Disneyland Resort Magic Key pass to a different pass type of equal or greater value, as long as the new pass type is available for new sales. At the time of upgrade, you will pay the difference in price between what you originally paid (or paid a deposit and financed) and the current price of the new pass. If you have an existing monthly payment plan, that contract would remain in place for the remainder of its terms. To upgrade your pass, simply visit one of the main entrance ticket booths at the Disneyland Resort. I recommend taking your photo ID and, of course, your current pass as accessed within the Disneyland mobile app. An upgraded Magic Key pass will keep the same expiration date as the original pass.

If you are a Magic Key holder within your renewal window, up to 30 days before your current pass expires, you have even greater flexibility. At that time, you may upgrade, or downgrade, to any available pass type, even if it is not available for new sales. If you are eligible for a monthly payment plan at that time, your payment plan would be reset to divide the price of the pass renewal into 12 equal payments.
