Hi Amy, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I’m excited to see that you’re already at the Most Magical Place on Earth! So let’s make sure you’re all set to buy all the amazing food and merch.
It sounds like you’re trying to add a new payment method to MyDisney Wallet in the
My Disney Experience app (you can also do this under
Payment Methods on the Disney World website). Currently, you can link credit or debit cards, which means you can add a Venmo credit card, but not a Venmo account. If it’s a credit card and it’s not linking, I’d recommend calling the
App and MagicBand Support phone number, and a Cast Member would be happy to help troubleshoot!
Now that you have your credit card stored, it’ll appear as a payment option when you make select website and app purchases, like buying
Lightning Lane Passes and placing
mobile food orders. If you’re staying at a
Disney resort hotel, when you check in online, you’ll have the option to use that credit card for hotel account charges. In my experience, you can’t use MyDisney Wallet for everything at Disney World, but you can use a
MagicBand or
Disney MagicMobile Service on your phone to charge food and merchandise purchases to the credit card you chose at check-in.
Now, let’s talk about your trip! There are so many fun things happening at Disney World right now, like the recently redone
Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, the specially rethemed
Soarin’ Across America, and a new mission with the Mandalorian and Grogu on
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. There are also lots of special character interactions across the theme parks with
Cool KIDS’ SUMMER.
I hope you and your ‘ohana are having the most magical time at Disney World! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
JoAnna
