We are coming to Disney for April 2025 and my daughter has a peanut and tree nut allergy. Any tips on safe choices for food for her in any of the parks. Thanks

    Hi Jen,
Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your allergy question! Oh my goodness, your trip is just around the corner—you’ll be walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A., before you know it! I can almost smell the popcorn now.

Now, let’s pull up a chair at the dining table and dive right into your allergy questions. As a mom to a seven-year-old with a lactose intolerance—and someone who also navigates a pineapple allergy and gluten sensitivity myself—I completely understand the importance of finding safe and delicious options at Disney. Being locals who visit often, we’ve had plenty of experience with Disney’s allergy-friendly dining, and I can assure you that they do an absolutely phenomenal job accommodating dietary needs.

At table service and select quick-service restaurants, you’ll find allergy-friendly menus that clearly indicate safe options for common allergies, including tree nuts and peanuts. When you check in for your meal, be sure to let the Cast Member know about your daughter’s allergy. They will provide an allergy-friendly menu that notes which items are safe for gluten, dairy, egg, fish, shellfish, peanut/tree nut, sesame, and soy allergies. The Cast Member will also ask if you’d like to speak with a chef—and I highly recommend it! The chefs are fantastic at answering questions and can often make modifications to ensure a meal is safe and enjoyable. When the food arrives, it will have an allergy marker, giving you peace of mind that it was prepared with extra care.

Pro Tip: Before your trip, take a moment to browse the menus on the My Disney Experience App! Many restaurants list allergy-friendly options right in the app, which makes it easy to plan ahead. I always check the menus beforehand to make sure my girls will have something they’ll enjoy—especially since my youngest can be a little picky! Reviewing the options in advance also helps if you have any specific questions for the chef, making your dining experience smoother and stress-free.

Although Disney takes every reasonable measure to accommodate allergies, they cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. That said, their commitment to guest safety has always blown me away. Believe it or not, I once dined at ‘Ohana (a Polynesian-themed restaurant) with a pineapple allergy, and from the moment we checked in to the moment we left, the Cast Members made the experience completely seamless. I never once felt like I was missing out, and that level of care is what makes Disney truly magical when it comes to dining with allergies.

As a fellow mom, I understand how nerve-wracking and challenging it can feel to navigate food allergies, but you are in the best hands at the most magical place on Earth! If you have any more questions before your trip, please don’t hesitate to stop by again.

    See you real soon,

    Christina
