Hello Christina!
Thanks for bringing us your question today. I'm happy to hear you're preparing for a visit this fall and will be taking advantage of the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. Let's dig into all the delicious details.
As a mom of two, I can appreciate the different eating styles of your kids. Some days mine threaten to eat me out of house and home, while other days their appetites are almost non-existent (unless dessert is an option, then suddenly everyone is hungry). While you are sure to enjoy lots of fantastic meal options using this dining plan on your trip, your kids will be required to select items from the kid's menu wherever available. There are
some locations where there is just one menu, as my pal Kristi details here, but you'll see a separate listing for kid's items at most locations.
Your
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan includes 2 Quick-Service Meals per guest (age 3 and older) per night of stay. You can use the meals in any combination you prefer until they expire at midnight on the day of your checkout, even if that means eating 3 Quick-Service Meals one day, and only one the next. In my experience, most kids' meals come with an entree and two sides.
My kids love ordering Pepperoni Flatbread meals from
Pinocchio Village Haus and eating while waving to the boats from "
it's a small world" float past below. This meal includes two sides with an option of Apple Slices or a Cuties Mandarin, but you can substitute French Fries for one or both of the sides. You can probably guess what they typically choose. You'll be able to confirm the menu details at each location using the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, which you'll also use to track your dining plan meal redemption throughout the trip. Be sure to download that once you arrive in the US.
Your dining plan also includes 1 Snack per guest per night of stay as well, so if your 9-year-old is still hungry a snack is probably just steps away. I've found my kids are usually so distracted by the excitement of attractions and entertainment they often eat less than I expect. Unless of course, dessert.
I hope that helped, Christina. If we can answer any additional questions please come back and let us know. Wishing you a magical (and delicious) vacation!
Magic and memories,
Amy
