Welcome to planDisney, Samantha!
Be forewarned: You will fall in love with Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. It’s colorful, it’s comfortable, and it’s just a
Disney Skyliner ride away from magical locations like Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. Your toddler will enjoy splashing the day away at the Schoolyard Sprayground and the
Big Blue Pool. My own kiddos like to explore the grounds of the entire Resort hotel to spy their favorite movie characters as well.
I also like the convenience of bringing my own food and drinks while on vacation, especially because I have certain dietary limitations. I am happy to share with you that all hotel rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort have some type of refrigerator. The standard “The Little Mermaid” rooms have a mini-fridge (think, beverage cooler). The suites have a slightly bigger refrigerator with a small freezer. During my last stay in one of the suites, I found the refrigerator to keep my water bottles pretty cold. I had no complaints in the morning when I needed to grab-and-go what I needed for a long theme park day.
My suggestion is that if you find that the refrigerator is not as cold as you’d like it or need it to be for your toddler’s milk and yogurt, place a container of ice (from a nearby machine in your hotel section) around the products. Also, put them as far back in the fridge as possible.
Samantha, I hope that this helps. If you have any other questions about how to maximize your upcoming stay with a little one,
revisit us here at planDisney. We’d love to share our tips and tricks with you.
Magic always,
LeAndra
