Hi Amber!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy you stopped by to dish on one of my favorite topics - dining! Whether you have selected the
Disney Dining Plan or the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, I'm sure you'll love the convenience and variety on your upcoming trip.
Amber, both dining plans note that children ages 3-9 must order from a children's menu when available. You'll find many Quick-Service dining locations offer a separate selection for kids, but not all do. For example,
Casey's Corner in Magic Kingdom Park and
Yorkshire Country Fish Shop in EPCOT do not list an option for kids' meals on their menus. Since there is not a kids menu option at these locations (and a few others), your child should be able to order off of the main menu, but you can always double-check with a Cast Member to verify their specific menu offerings before ordering. Your
My Disney Experience Mobile App will be the perfect
mouseketool to help you navigate all things dining on your visit! In the app, you'll be able to view your dining plan meal balance and can even place
Mobile Food and Beverage Orders as a way to redeem your Quick-Service meals.
While you're putting the finishing touches on your plans, I wanted to share a few of my favorite Quick-Service locations in each theme park!
- Columbia Harbour House - Magic Kingdom Park - This tasty little spot offers a delicious New England-inspired menu. I feel like the menu selections such as salmon, shrimp, and lobster rolls are a step above many other locations. After you pick up your order, you can head upstairs where there is a lot of seating that many people don't even know exists!
- Regal Eagle Smokehouse - EPCOT - I love the menu of classic American favorites like ribs, chicken, and burgers. The BBQ Jackfruit Burger is a great find here! If you're grabbing your meal in the evening, you may be able to listen to the Garden Rocks Concert Series taking place nearby.
- Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo - Disney's Hollywood Studios - While you're exploring a galaxy far, far away, make sure to stop here for some out-of-this-world fare. I find that this menu has familiar tastes with some unique twists. My kids like to order the Fried Endorian Chicken Tip Yip!
- Satu'li Canteen - Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park - Head over to Pandora - The World of Avatar to dine like the Nav'i. I always have a hard time choosing what to eat here! How do you decide between the Ocean Moon Bowl (featuring blue noodles!) and yummy Cheeseburger Steam Pods?
Amber, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is
Just Around the Riverbend and I'm sending lots of pixie-dusted wishes that you enjoy a wonderful trip! Remember, you are always welcome to
