Hi there, Monica, and welcome back to planDisney!
It's great to see you here again and thanks for submitting another question to us! Are you planning a
Holiday visit to the
Disneyland Resort this year? I can understand wanting to time your visit with the Candlelight Processional, one of the most revered and time honored traditions at the Disneyland Resort.
The tradition of a Christmas choir performing over the Holidays dates back to 1955 and has become a very popular event at the Disneyland Resort. It's evolved into what it is today, a retelling of the Christmas Story through song and scripture by a celebrity narrator. Unlike its
highly publicized twin ceremony over at EPCOT in the Walt Disney World Resort, the Disneyland Park version is much more intimate and no official press is released about this event. Most everyone usually finds out about it through word of mouth.
This year, multiple third party press outlets have leaked that Disneyland Park's Candlelight Processional will occur on December 7th and 8th, 2024, at both 5:30 PM and 7:45 PM on both evenings. Keep in mind that there is no official word from Disney, so this is subject to change.
It is bound to be quite busy in the Park those days, as some Guests will scope out a spot and stay there for hours. If you intend to attend this event, give yourself plenty of time. I wish you the best of luck in being able to attend. I've never been lucky enough to catch it myself and it's on my bucket list for sure.
Monica, thanks again for coming by and it's a pleasure to hear from you as always. Please feel free to write again if you have more questions. We're always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day!
