Hello and welcome to planDisney, Deborah. Thanks for stopping by to visit us with your question. Your visit to the Disneyland Resort will be here before you know it, so let's make sure you're prepared.
The
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are in full swing which means lots of delicious seasonal eats and treats, attractions with a merry twist and so many festive entertainment offerings like the
Candlelight Processional. This ceremony is an annual tradition that dates back to 1958 and features a celebrity narrator, choir and orchestra. This event has historically not been highly publicized and the Disneyland Resort has not made any official announcements of any dates.
However, my pal and fellow panelist,
Amanda, seems to have an ear to the ground and
ideas of when these might take place this year. I also called and chatted with a friendly Cast Member, however, they were unable to confirm or find any additional information to share regarding this event. There are typically two shows on both evenings and they typically happen around sunset or just after. If you will be at Disneyland on either of these days, I recommend asking a Cast Member for exact times on the morning of your visit to be prepared for later.
There's nothing like a visit during the holly jolly season. The resort is dressed in its festive best and you can't beat dancing in the snow on Main Street, U.S.A. I recommend downloading the Disneyland app upon your arrival and checking out the digital guides for all the details on seasonal offerings.
Deborah, I'm sorry I don't have a better answer to share with you, however, I hope the information I've provided is still helpful. I'll be wishing on a star that you're able to catch this special event during your visit. Let us know if there's anything else that we can help with. Until then, here's wishing you a very merry and magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
