Are Chase Disney Visa cardholders eligible to buy tickets for the Halloween party on May 5 also? We are actually staying offsite in September. Do we need to wait until the 12th?

    Boo to you, Janet!

Thanks for bringing us your question today. As you may have already seen, tickets for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park are now on sale for guests of eligible resorts. It does not appear that Disney Visa Cardmembers can take advantage of this early booking window without a qualifying resort stay, but you should be able to redeem your reward dollars for tricks or treats during this frightfully fun special ticketed event, as shared in this Disney Rewards Blog post last year.

Mark your calendar for May 12, 2026, when sales are available to the general public. This morning's resort guest sale kicked off around 6:45 am EST, but we never know what ghoulish delights or frights are in store, so keep a close eye on the Special Event Ticket page. Tickets can sell out quicker than a flickering jack-o-lantern's candle goes dark, but I'll keep my fingers crossed you'll be able to secure tickets for your preferred date without any spooks or scares.

Before I head off to haunt another area of the planDisney queue, let me leave you with a few helpful tips. The Halloween Party officially kicks off at 7 pm, but guests can enter as early as 4 pm. Crowds may look a bit frightful as ticket holders wait to enter the park, but the lines usually move quickly once the clock strikes 4 pm. Either way, you'll want to choose a costume that pairs well with the Florida sunshine and heat while you're waiting, and maybe even consider bringing a change of clothes. My family likes to arrive in full spirited gear for pictures, but we usually change into something a bit more comfortable as we spook toward the midnight hour. I'd also recommend bringing an extra bag to stash all the candy you'll collect from the treat stations around the park. We were stocked with sweets through Thanksgiving the last time we attended, so you'll want an easy way to get it all back to your room at the end of the night.

Janet, I hope this helped! Please hurry back and see us again if any other questions materialize.

    Happy haunting,
    Amy
