Hello there, Jere, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for submitting your question to us and I commend you for staying on top of trying to make your dining reservations 60 days in advance! I'm sorry that you haven't been able to book Goofy's Kitchen or Storytellers Cafe as you'd hoped.
I just checked for reservations myself and it appears as if they have not been released for your dates yet. In a recent
Disney Parks Blog, it was announced that both
Goofy's Kitchen and
Storytellers Cafe would be participating in a new seasonal menu that would offer festive, autumn-inspired dishes with a Halloween twist! While the brilliant Disney Chefs are building these special menus, sometimes dining reservations will lag behind a little bit, even into the 60 day reservation window. I suspect that the new menus will soon be announced (after all, the official beginning of the Halloween Season is August 23, 2024) and, once that happens, dining reservations might open up. My best recommendation is to keep checking back regularly for when that happens.
The Halloween Season is my favorite time of year at the Disneyland Resort! I love all the spooky decorations and the attraction overlays like
Haunted Mansion Holiday and
Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark. The Parks are nearly unrecognizable with the new Fall-themed decorations!
Fun Fact: Since you're visiting over the Halloween Season, take a moment to appreciate the
Halloween Tree, a special tree in Frontierland that pays tribute to the late author Ray Bradbury.
Jere, I wish you the best of luck in getting those reservations! Please write back to us if you have any more questions about your upcoming trip! You're always welcome here and we'll see ya real soon!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
