How to cancel my ticket reservation to be able to use within the year

    Hi there Robin,

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! It's always a pleasure to get to answer questions from a fellow Arizonan.

I certainly understand that plans can change when it comes to planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. Luckily, it's pretty easy to cancel and/or reschedule theme park reservations when those trip details change.

My preferred way to do this is through the My Plans hub on the Disneyland Resort website. Once you sign in with your MyDisney account, you'll see a list of dates where you have current theme park reservations. If you click "Manage Reservation" it will take you to a page with your park reservations where you'll see an option to modify or cancel each reservation.

This can also be done through the Disneyland app as well. If you tap the menu button (the three horizontal lines) and scroll down to select "Park Reservations" then you'll also be presented with that option to modify or cancel each reservation.

While park tickets are non-refundable, unused tickets typically have 1-1.5 years before they expire, which you can check on the ticket purchase confirmation email you received. If they have been partially used then they typically expire within 13 days of first use. Though even if they do expire, you should still be able to apply the value of those tickets toward the purchase of future tickets by calling a Cast Member at the Tickets line!

Thanks again for your question, Robin. Sorry you can't make your upcoming trip but I hope that your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is wonderful!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
