I always miss my Disneyland reservations dates as I tend to forget with my busy work and day schedule. Is there a way to receive notifications the day before to remind me that I have a reservation the next day?

Greetings, Wendy, and welcome to planDisney. It sounds like you might be a Magic Key holder who visits the Disneyland Resort often, just like me! I'm happy to share a few tips for keeping track of upcoming park days.

At this time, the Disneyland Resort doesn't offer a notification feature that reminds Guests of upcoming theme park reservations. There was a recent update to the Disneyland mobile app, however, that makes it even easier to view your plans. In the app, tap on the icon with the three horizontal lines (≡). From there, you can either tap on "My Tickets & Passes" to see all the theme park reservations tied to each ticket or pass, or tap "My Plans" to see details by day.

I use the calendar app on my phone to create events for upcoming visits. I add an alert in each event that goes off a day in advance. Since Magic Key pass reservations can be modified or canceled until 11:59 p.m. the night before, the reminder is perfectly timed to give me a chance to adjust my plans if needed. I also write down our upcoming visits on a calendar in the kitchen, which provides another helpful reminder.

Here are some other helpful tips when it comes to theme park reservations with your Magic Key pass:

    • If there's ever a day you want to visit the park that shows as unavailable (and isn't a blockout date), keep checking back. There have been many times when I've secured a reservation the night before.
    • If you don't enter a park on a day you reserved, it counts as a no-show. You'd be unable to make new reservations or modify existing reservations for 30 days after receiving three no-shows in a 90-day period.
    • Check out the Extras Unlocked page to learn about seasonal experiences, merchandise, and other opportunities exclusive to Magic Key holders. You can also follow the official Disneyland Magic Key account on Instagram for other exciting updates.
Wendy, I hope these tips help you out. If you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
