MagicBand+ on Friends; Main Street; pairing

    If I buy a Magic Band + from ShopDisney/DisneyStore, can I link it up to MDE BEFORE heading to Florida? Or do I have to wait until I am at Disney to link/sync it to MDE?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Kathleen! I'm happy to see that you're busy planning your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks for sending us your question. 

    There are so many styles for the new MagicBand+! If you decide to purchase new bands for your group, you can link them very easily via your My Disney Experience app before you arrive for your vacation.

    When you open the app, tap on the three lines at the bottom right. Then select “Tickets and Passes” to link your tickets. Then go to “My Profile” and tap on “MagicBands & Cards” and scroll down to “Link a MagicBand or Card” to link your bands to each member in your party. 

    You can also link your bands to your MyDisney account by following the directions on this webpage. I use this page all the time, because it gives good step-by-step instructions to help link all kinds of things to your MyDisney account, like theme park tickets, Disney Resort Collection hotel reservations and even dining reservations.
