MagicBand+ pairing with Smart Phone; Minnie Mouse band

    The magicband+ that I purchased for my daughter over 2 years ago is not linking to my daughter’s account that I manage. It keeps stating that the media state is not valid.

    When it comes to wearable technology, I'm a big fan - just as long as it's convenient and works consistently for everything I expect to use it for. Thankfully I've been an early user and tester of MagicBand technology to access the magic across Disney Destinations, and as functions and features continued to evolve I've also been able to help others with troubleshooting along the way!

    • Firstly with your MagicBand+, I've found that making sure it is fully charged before attempting to link or update it is very key. When you pop your MagicBand+ into its charger, it may light up when it begins charging and you'll want to watch for when green light indicated a full charge.
    If however it still is showing the same error as you attempt to link it, you'll want to reach out to the team responsible for dealing with My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ to see what they can do over the phone. The last time that I called them about an issue with one of my bands not functioning correctly, they were able to work their magic remotely and I was very surprised at how quickly they were able to make it happen. (It's important to make sure that this MagicBand+ has not already been linked to another account - sometimes guests forget that they've already done so or another party member may have tried linking it to themselves because this is currently irreversible.)
