Hi. If I buy a disney gift card will my sons family be able to redeem it towards park entry and hotel at Disneyland Paris for a short break. Would I be able to put £1000 on the card? Thank you

    Bonjour, Kim!

Thank you for visiting us with this great question. We're always thrilled when someone decides to be our guest.

I love your idea to give the gift of Disney this holiday season! Unfortunately, Disney Gift Cards are not valid for use at Disneyland Paris. At this time, only the following destinations are listed among those accepting Disney Gift Cards as a form of payment:

    • Walt Disney World Resort
    • Disneyland Resort
    • Disney Cruise Line
    • Aulani, Disney Resort & Spa
    • Disney's Vero Beach Resort
    • Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort
    • Adventures by Disney
    • Disney on Broadway (redemption restrictions apply)
    • DisneyStore.com and Disney Store locations in the US
    • Disney+

I reached out to a member of the online Dream Team who confirmed that Disneyland Paris Gift Cards are available for purchase once inside the park to use toward shops or restaurants, but those are not available for advance purchase online, must be activated in person, and cannot be reloaded.

I have seen a few third-party sites offering digital gift cards "with the suggestion" for the recipient to use them at Disneyland Paris. However, these are not actually affiliated with Disneyland Paris and seem to just be a way to transfer funds electronically to a bank account, Paypal account or a Visa Gift Card.

According to the Frequently Asked Questions "all major credit cards, including American Express, Mastercard and Visa are accepted across Disneyland Paris, including shops and restaurants. You can also pay by contactless and mobile payment, as well as cash in Euro currency." You might instead consider gifting a Visa Gift Card or a similar product to your son.

When my family visited earlier this year we booked a Hotel + Ticket Package and paid our balance in installments after an initial deposit. This was a convenient way to divide the cost of our vacation into smaller payments, without additional fees or interest. The final balance was due 60 days before our arrival, and the package also offered a flexible cancellation policy. I believe only one form of payment can be processed in a single transaction, but if you opted to purchase a gift card authorized by one of the major credit card companies above, your family should be able to apply it toward one of their installment payments or use it during their visit.

I hope this helped, Kim. If we can answer any additional questions please don't hesitate to come back and let us know. Wishing you a magical holiday season!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
