Greetings Ariel and welcome to planDisney!
You are going to love
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! I just recently spent an amazing week there, my first time staying at the resort, and I was so impressed!
When I checked in for my room, which was a preferred room category, I was offered the choices of Martinique, Barbados, “close to the Skyliner” or “near bus”.
I chose the Martinique section for its location near Old Port Royale, which is the main building for the resort, and because it was a short walk to
Disney’s Riviera Resort, which is one of my favorite spots for breakfast and lunch!
I also liked the Martinique section because it allowed me the choice of getting on to the
Disney Skyliner at the Riviera station or the Caribbean Beach station, which are about equal distance away from the Martinique section of rooms.
The complimentary bus service has multiple stations around the resort, and Martinique is the first stop to get on the bus and the first one to unload. This was a plus for me since I knew I was going to get a seat on the bus, but there were multiple stops around the complex to pick up additional Guests so make sure you add a little additional time to your schedule before you actually get under way to the theme parks. Being the first stop to be dropped off at the end of a long day was really nice, so that is an added benefit to staying in Martinique.
I did a lot of scouting around the resort for my daughter who is staying at Caribbean Beach for the first time with her family in June. I was really excited about all of the activities and the food choices that you have at the resort, and each section seems to have its own intriguing vibe!
You can select your preferred building or “Skyliner” or “bus” choice when you do your check-in online on your
My Disney Experience account. You can also call the
Reservations and Tickets phone line to talk with a friendly Cast Member, and they will note this choice on your reservation. The resorts do try their best to fulfill these requests and selections, but they are not guaranteed.
Ariel, I’m sure you have always had a connection to Sebastian, so I highly recommend dinner at
Sebastian’s Bistro! The family style meal highlighted by the Island Feast is one of the hidden dining gems at Walt Disney World! Just make sure you save enough room for the Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding! It’s so good!
Ariel, you are going to have an amazing time at Caribbean Beach! And don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
