Can I bring a push tricycle stroller into disneyland?

Hi Elizabeth! Welcome to planDisney! Your visit to the Disneyland Resort is just around the corner, and you’re asking a great question as you get those final details lined up.

Unfortunately, push tricycle strollers are not permitted inside the parks. According to the Disneyland Resort rules, strollers must meet specific size and design guidelines, and items like tricycles (even those designed to be pushed by an adult) don’t fall within those parameters. Security Cast Members do check stroller types and sizes at the entrance, and anything outside the guidelines may be turned away.

The good news is that you’ve got an easy and convenient alternative. Stroller rentals are available just outside the main entrance in the Esplanade between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. You’ll find both single and double strollers offered on a first-come, first-served basis. One of the best parts is that your rental is valid for the entire day in both parks, so if you’re planning to move back and forth, you’re all set without needing to rent again. Arriving a little earlier (about an hour before opening) can give you a smooth start and the best chance to secure a stroller right away.

A stroller pairs especially well with an early start, like maybe enjoying a few Fantasyland attractions in Disneyland or heading straight to Cars Land in Disney California Adventure before crowds build. Having that stroller ready makes those longer stretches between lands much more manageable for small travelers.

Another helpful tip while you’re planning: the Baby Care Centers in both parks are fantastic resources. In Disneyland, you’ll find one at the end of Main Street near Plaza Inn, and in Disney California Adventure, there’s one just off Pacific Wharf near Ghirardelli Soda Fountain. These quiet, air-conditioned spaces are perfect for diaper changes, feedings, or just taking a breather when the day gets busy.

Elizabeth, you’re setting yourself up for a smooth and enjoyable visit with just a little advance planning. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us here at planDisney!

Wishing you a day full of fun, easy strolling, and unforgettable Disneyland adventures!
