Hi Chau! Welcome back to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by to chat about one of the most spirited nights of the year:
Oogie Boogie Bash at
Disney California Adventure Park. It’s such a fun blend of eerie atmosphere and playful Disney storytelling, and it sounds like you’re already getting a head start on planning.
At this time, Disney has not yet announced the ticket sale dates for this year’s event. In previous years, tickets have typically gone on sale in June, often in phases (with Magic Key holders sometimes getting early access before general sales open). While we don’t have official dates just yet, I recommend keeping a close eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, as that’s usually where announcements appear first. Those tickets can disappear quicker than a Hitchhiking Ghost!
Now, even though we’re still waiting on dates, there’s already some exciting buzz for this year’s party. I’m especially happy to hear that Villains Grove is expected to return. If you haven’t experienced it before, it transforms the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail into a beautifully eerie walkthrough filled with lights, projections, and atmospheric effects. It’s less about jump scares and more about being completely immersed in a hauntingly artistic environment.
Here’s a Q-Tip to help your night go smoothly: if you plan to enter Disney California Adventure before the party officially begins, you can pick up your event wristband inside the park at designated locations. This can save you a surprising amount of time compared to the main entrance lines, which tend to build quickly as party time approaches. That extra time can mean one more treat trail, a shorter wait for a character photo, or even a relaxed stroll down
Buena Vista Street as the Halloween ambiance settles in.
One more planning note: since this is a separately ticketed event, it’s always a good idea to plan at least one non-party evening at Disney California Adventure during your trip if nighttime entertainment is a priority. That way, you won’t miss out on offerings that may pause early on event nights.
Chau, you’re already setting yourself up for a frightfully fun experience. Keep an eye out for those ticket announcements, and you’ll be ready to jump in the moment they drop. If more questions come creeping in, you know where to find us; planDisney is always here to lend a ghostly hand.
Wishing you a hauntingly happy Halloween season!
David
