Can I bring food drinks, and a cooler to Typhoon Lagoon?

Thanks for surfing over to planDisney, Christopher!

I'm happy to help as you prepare for tomorrow's visit to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Grab your sunscreen and swimsuit, and let's dive in!

My family spent the day catching waves (and totally wiping out) in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool last month, and we definitely worked up an appetite during our adventures. While we opted to travel light and grab lunch from Leaning Palms (we loved the Sweet Chili Aïoli Chicken Strips and Barbecue Chicken Flatbread), you can certainly bring your own food and beverages with you as long as you adhere to the Property Rules. Your cooler must be smaller than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high and cannot contain any glass containers or alcoholic beverages. You'll also want to pack it with reusable ice packs, as loose ice is not permitted.

If you find yourself in need of extra snacks or beverages, you'll find plenty of options around the water park. The Sand Pail Sundae from Happy Landings Ice Cream is a perfect shareable dessert, but I'm partial to the Mini Donuts from Joffrey's near Singapore Sal's. The raspberry dipping sauce is top tier!

Once everyone is fed and happy, be sure to splash around on Crush 'n' Gusher and take the plunge on Humunga Kowabunga. I'd also suggest a few family rides on Miss Adventure Falls, which is suitable for any height and was one of our favorite experiences of the day. If you're looking to really lay back and go with the flow, Castaway Creek is the perfect option for relaxing and soaking up the sunshine as you drift along a lazy river. I floated around quite a few laps before we headed out for the day.

Christopher, I hope you have a splash-tastic day at Typhoon Lagoon, whether you're looking for thrills or chills. If you need any additional guidance before or during your visit, please swim right on back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
