Magic Key for your family member. I can definitely share tips on getting the pass linked to their Disney account and updating the payment method.
To link a Magic Key and update the monthly payment, you'll need to call the
Magic Key holder hotline and speak to a cast member. Ensure you have the
Disney account email, and the first and last name of the family member.
If this Magic Key is an Imagine Key for Southern California residents only, their residence address must be correct on their Disney account. They'll need to provide proof of residence with a government-issued photo ID upon request at the Parks. In my experience, you can update the payment method for the entire contract, but not separate Magic Key payments unless they were completed in different transactions. Additionally, if you are updating the payment method to a card that is not in your name, that person will need to be available to join the phone call and verify approval of using their card. The cast members are extremely helpful in getting your account updated!
