Hey Howdy Hey Tae'Lor and welcome back to planDisney!
I am so happy to hear from travel agents as you all do so much to make the dreams of Magical vacations come true! As a former travel agent myself, I will be happy to try and help you out with your situation, just be aware it has been quite a few years since I graduated from the College of Disney Knowledge so bear with me!
One of the biggest things you will want to do is make sure your clients are aware of the
Terms and Conditions of booking a vacation package with the Walt Disney Travel Company. To book a vacation package there is a current minimum due of $200.00 to hold this reservation. This is the current minimum and is subject to change without notice. The final payment would be due 30 days before the date of arrival. Your client is more than welcome to make regular payments on their vacation if they would like and you can do this for them if they would like as well.
Typically after you make the booking, you will link the reservation to their My Disney Experience account as long as they permit you to access their account with their password. You will also be able to make dining reservations as well for them with the same access.
I will pause here as it has been several years since I was a travel agent and things may have changed. To make payments towards a client's reservation, you may have to access their My Disney Experience account and plug in their payment information, which is how we had to do it many years ago, or there may be a different way altogether. I would check with a fellow agent from your agency on the details of the process as they will be up to speed on the current process but there should be a way for them to make payments on their vacation before the final payment is due.
I hope this information has helped get you started. Please feel free to reach back out if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical day,
Nick
