Welcome to planDisney Karen, we're so glad you're here!
I have some good news and a few options for you to ensure the
theme park ticket does not go to waste. My first recommendation is to check the expiration date of the ticket since there is usually a good amount of time to use the ticket. One-day tickets that are purchased today do not expire until December 30, 2027, and Multi-day tickets that are purchased today must be used within 13 days of first use or before January 12, 2028, whichever occurs first. Even if you're not able to get back before the end of the year, you most likely would have most of 2027 to plan another trip!
I also want to mention that the value of wholly, unused expired Disneyland Resort theme park tickets (except for special events or otherwise specifically stated) may be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket as long as the new ticket purchase price is equal or greater to the amount paid for your original ticket. Even if you were not able to visit before the expiration date, you hopefully will have another option as long as it is wholly unused.
The
Disney Parks Blog will be a great resource regardless of when your next Disney trip is! I love browsing the site to read up on the latest news, events, and foodie guides to prepare for my next trip.
I hope this information is helpful for your planning, Karen!
Please come back to planDisney if we can help with any other questions.
Have a magical day!
