Greetings, Sandie, and welcome to planDisney! It is so exciting that your daughter will be performing in the park. I did the same as part of a dance team when I was younger, and I will never forget the experience!
It sounds like you meant to purchase a 1-park-per-day ticket, but ended up purchasing a
Park Hopper ticket. Unfortunately, your Disneyland Resort
theme park ticket is nonrefundable, and you wouldn't be able to downgrade it to a ticket of lesser value. You do have some options, though.
First, if you plan on visiting the Disneyland Resort in the future, you could hold on to your Park Hopper ticket. In that case, you'd
purchase a new 1-park-per-day ticket for May 7. At the time of writing this, I see that tickets are still available for California Adventure that day. Your Park Hopper ticket should remain valid for quite a while, and even if it expires before you use it, you should still be able to apply the value you paid for it toward the purchase of a new ticket of equal or greater value.
Halloween Time and
the holidays are wonderful opportunities to experience the parks later this year!
Another option is to use the
Park Hopper ticket on May 7. Perhaps you can spend some time inside Disneyland Park before or after your daughter performs. The Park Hopper tickets currently allow Guests to switch between California Adventure and Disneyland Park starting at 11 a.m. You may need to be mindful of the park you reserve, depending on the timing of your daughter's performance.
Sandie, I'm sorry if this wasn't the answer you were hoping for. But maybe this mix-up could lead to more fun in the parks later this year. If you'd like to speak with a Cast Member for additional assistance with your ticket, you can
call the Tickets line. Of course, we're always happy to help here at planDisney, too – reach out anytime. I hope your daughter's performance is as memorable for you both as my performance was for me. Best of luck to her!
Wishing you magic,
Kriss
