Booking stay at Disney grand California or the Disneyland hitel

    Hello, Gary!

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you’re hoping to stay at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels this summer. You’re in for such a magical trip!

You can book your hotel directly on the Disneyland website. Choosing between Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the Disneyland Hotel is a tough decision! I adore them both for different reasons. The Grand Californian has an unbeatable location, including its own private entrance into Disney California Adventure Park. It’s especially convenient if you’re heading straight to Goofy’s Sky School or Soarin' Around the World (which becomes Soarin' Across America on July 2, 2026!). Plus, it’s home to some of my favorite dining spots, like Storytellers Cafe for breakfast and GCH Craftsman Grill for a casual lunch or dinner (hello, Poke Bowl!).

The Disneyland Hotel, on the other hand, is where I go when I want to be wrapped in pure Disney nostalgia. History and charm are tucked into every corner, and it always feels like coming home. My kids love racing down the Monorail‑themed waterslides while I relax by the pool with a refreshing drink from Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill (also home of the incredible Ube‑stuffed French Toast!). From this hotel, you can usually hop on the Disneyland Monorail straight into Disneyland Park or enjoy a quick walk through the Downtown Disney District.

Both hotels are wonderful, so it really comes down to what fits your family best. And remember, you’re welcome to dine at any of the hotels even if you’re not staying there, which is a great way to explore each one. There are some great hotel deals right now, including savings of up to 25% on select stays this summer! If you have specific questions about booking, the “Hotel Reservations” line is always happy to help.

Gary, have an amazing visit to Disneyland! We hope to see you real soon!

    Magic Happens!
