staying at a Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel will be able to purchase and book their Lightning Lane services for their entire trip beginning at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to their check-in date.
All you need to do is make sure you have your resort reservation linked to your My Disney Experience account ahead of time. Then, when that booking window opens, the app will automatically allow you to book.
You can link your resort reservation online or on the My Disney Experience app. To do so online, visit
Walt Disney World’s website and click My Disney Experience. Hover over Resort Hotel, then click Link a Reservation.
To link your resort reservation by using the
My Disney Experience app, click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner, scroll down to click Link to Account, then click Type ID at the top of the page.
You’ll also want to make sure your travel party is linked to the resort reservation and you are linked to each other through your
Family & Friends List. That way, you’ll be able to purchase Lightning Lanes for your whole group together.
Once that’s all set up, on the morning your booking window opens, you’ll be able to click the Purchase button under
Lightning Lane Multi Pass/Single Pass or
Lightning Lane Premier Pass to follow the prompts and complete your purchase on the app. Easy as that!
It’s good to note that each day you plan to use a Lightning Lane service will be a separate transaction when booking them. So, you’ll go through day by day until you’re done making all of your bookings.
Since you have the perk of booking your entire trip 7 days in advance, I recommend booking for the dates later in your trip first to give yourself the best chance at snagging the Lightning Lane return times you’re hoping for.
