If I booked a hotel and the rest of my party is arriving earlier than I, can they use the app to gain access to our resort room before I arrive?

Welcome back to planDisney, Tracy! As a fellow Floridian, I'm thrilled to help you today. You'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort soon, and it sounds like you're planning to stay in a Disney Resort hotel. I love the benefits of staying onsite, especially early theme park entry. Every second counts when you're making magical memories!

Any guest linked to your Disney Resort hotel reservation should be able to enter the room as soon as it is ready. To see who is currently listed, open your My Disney Experience mobile app and select "Hotel Reservations" under the My Visit section of the Welcome screen. Scroll up to see who's linked to that stay under the Guests section.

If you need to add someone, be sure you're linked in your Family & Friends list first. You might be able to add them to your resort stay online in the My Plans section of the My Disney Experience tab. If you see an option to update or modify your stay, click that and follow the instructions. Call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line for assistance if you don't see an option to add a guest.

As the lead guest, complete Online Check-In before arrival so all guests on the reservation can use Direct-to-Room service. You'll receive a text or email when your room is ready; you can then share the room number and other information with your party. All guests on the resort reservation can use a MagicBand or Disney MagicMobile service to open the hotel door.

I hope you enjoy the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays during your visit. Last week, I was mesmerized by the Gingerbread Spaceship Earth at CommuniCore Hall. Be sure to catch the light show; it's a dazzling and delectable spectacle!

Tracy, I hope you have a phenomenally festive time with your group. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
