Hi Hazel and welcome back to planDisney.
I am always happy to assist a fellow guest from the UK with the planning of a trip to my favourite holiday destination -
Walt Disney World!
Although I do not have any personal experience of dealing with Holidays Florida (which I think is operated by a third party travel agent called Ocean Florida), I can tell you that when booking direct with Walt Disney World, you are able to upgrade the free Quick-Service Meal Package to either the
Quick-Service Dining Plan or
Disney Dining Plan. When doing so, you are simply required to pay the difference in price.
In this instance, I would recommend that you contact the travel agent who you have booked your holiday package with to ask if you are able to upgrade the free Quick-Service Meal Package which you currently have. If it is possible, they will be able to confirm the additional cost for doing so as well as any amendment fees which might be applicable.
My family are big fans of the Disney Dining Plans! We find that they are super convenient to use and also help us to budget for our trips by prepaying for our meals in advance.
Top Tip - If you do decide to upgrade your free Quick-Service Meal Package to the Disney Dining Plan, you can
make dining reservations for your entire length of stay (for up to a 10-night stay) up to 60 days in advance of your arrival. As some of the most popular
Table-Service dining locations do get booked up early, be ready to pounce as soon as you reach 60 days out.
I'm sorry that I couldn't give you an exact answer to your question, on this occasion, Hazel, but, feel free to re-visit us here at planDisney if we can be of any further help with the planning of your Summer trip.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
