Hi Mandy! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
The Disneyland Resort is dedicated to being a welcoming and inclusive destination for all its Guests, including those with disabilities. When traveling with friends and family members who needed accommodation, we've experienced the various ways Disney works to make the parks accessible to all.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is currently intended for Guests with autism or a similar developmental disability. Eligible Guests can be approved and registered online or in person, whichever is more convenient. Either way, the eligible Guest must be present for the chat. Your admission tickets must be linked for the online chat, however. If need be, feel free to drop by the Accessibility Services Kiosk between the parks to apply for DAS in person. A friendly Cast Member will be able to assist you and provide additional guidance.
DAS is just one accommodation offered to Guests with disabilities. There is
additional information you'll want to check out ahead of your visit about navigating the parks with disabilities. Being prepared always makes for a smoother experience! You'll find useful hints for enjoying your park day, additional accommodations, and guides tailored to different disabilities. There's even a section dedicated to
neurodivergent Guests that you might want to look over. While traveling with my uncle, we found the
Sensory Experience Details guide to be especially useful. Some Attractions feature loud noises, and those were better for us to skip, as they would have been triggering.
While planning your must-do activities for your group, keep in mind all the special spooky fun available during your visit, which falls during
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. My favorites are the seasonal treats and Attraction overlays. What are you most excited for?
Boo to you!
Elizabeth
