How do I book shore trips

Ahoy, Kieran, and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for your question about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. There are so many things to love about sailing with Mickey and friends, but having a new spectacular destination to wake up to every morning is a huge perk. What's even better is only having to unpack once for this type of trip. And coming back on board to your stateroom after a fun day on land is easy and relaxing!

Kieran, Port Adventures are the best way to fully experience the beautiful ports of call on your itinerary. These can be booked according to your Castaway Club status on the day your booking window opens. This ranges from 130 days before embarkation for Concierge-level Guests to 75 days for first-timers. To find your exact day, log in to your Disney Cruise Line reservation on the website, navigate to "Already Booked," then select your cruise reservation. Just under the cruise details, the date for your booking window will be listed. Booking on that date will begin at midnight Eastern Standard Time. On that day, log in to your reservation and click "Book Now" in the "Cruise Activities" section. You'll see icons for each day (an anchor if the ship is in port), so first you'll select the day, then "Book Activities." A drop-down will appear to select "Port Adventures." All available options will appear, along with filters for Experience Type, Activity Level, Accessibility, and Price Range. Once you find one that works, select the Guests who will be joining you to check availability, as there are often multiple times offered. Once you select the time, hit "Save," and the adventure will be booked and should appear in "My Plans" for that day. If something you were hoping to book is sold out, continue to check back, as Guests may cancel. You can book or modify your plans online up to 3 days before you set sail. You can also use your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to book your Port Adventures by selecting "My Plans," "Add Activities," then "Port Adventures." This will become an option once that booking window is open.

I hope you have the most magical time both onboard and ashore on your Disney Cruise Line vacation, Kieran. Please let us know if you need any further help with plans, as we are here to assist future cruisers like you!

    Happy planning,
    Nancy
