Hi Margaret,
Welcome to planDisney and greeting from a fellow Floridian who loves sharing information about planning a Walt Disney World vacation.
Thanks for your question about the best way to get from Magic Kingdom to the International Gateway entrance of
Epcot. It's an easy route. Simply hop on a complimentary Disney bus at Magic Kingdom that is bound for the
Beach Club resort. Once you arrive at Beach Club, you will have about a 7-minute walk to the International Gateway entrance.
(You would do the same thing if you were coming from Animal Kingdom. From Hollywood Studios, you'd take the Skyliner or a Friendship boat.)
When we're planning an afternoon or evening in the World Showcase, especially during one of the Epcot festivals, we like to enter at the International Gateway because it puts you right between the United Kingdom and France pavilions. Then it's a quick hop to
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, to the concerts in the America Gardens Theatre and to all the food kiosks, restaurants and shopping in the World Showcase.
Often, too, you'll find special Disney friends hanging out just inside that entrance, available for autographs and photos.
Happy planning, Margaret. Please check back in with us if you have any other questions about Disney transportation, the theme parks, resorts, dining or entertainment during your vacation.
Enjoy,
Wilma
