Welcome to planDisney, Thomas! Thanks for sharing your question with us.
What it takes to have a magical vacation is different for every guest, and that’s part of what makes Walt Disney World so amazing. It has something for everyone. Sometimes what you need is to blast off to a galaxy far, far away. Sometimes it’s floating around a lazy river in a tube. And sometimes what you really need is a delicious cheeseburger and a cold beer.
Walt Disney World definitely has you covered in your quest for good ol’ American cuisine and beer. Items like burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and other classics can be found at each theme park and resort hotel. In fact, if you go to the map on the My Disney Experience mobile app, tap the dining icon (the fork and knife), and then select the filters button (the small circle with three lines), you can filter by cuisine type. Choose “American,” and you’ll be able to see all your nearby dining options.
Now on to the spots where you can get both a brew and a bite!
The first spot that comes to mind is the
Regal Eagle Smokehouse located in the American Pavilion at EPCOT’s World Showcase. The menu features BBQ and sides from all over the country, as well as a selection of beer and ciders (menu options are subject to change). If none of the beers at Regal Eagle are what you’re looking for, then you can go across the courtyard to
Block and Hans, which offers a variety of seasonal American craft beers.
Speaking of craft beer, if you head over to Hollywood Studios’
Baseline Tap, you’ll find an outstanding selection of craft beers on tap (the online menu currently shows 18 beers and ciders on tap). They only offer small plates for food, but Backlot Express is just down the way, and that has a lot of menu options I’d consider American cuisine.
If you want to get out of the theme parks, then I’d suggest stopping by
Geyser Point Bar and Grill at Wilderness Lodge. Not only does it offer beautiful views of Bay Lake, but it also has a bison burger, salmon, and rib-eye steak sandwich if you’re looking for something a little different. There are a ton of beers, ciders, and seltzers on tap, but I’d also suggest checking out some of the cocktails, like the Whiskey Sour and Pineapple Mule.
Thomas, I hope this information helps you find what you’re looking for at Walt Disney World. Don’t hesitate to come back if you have more questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!
Magical travels!
Matt
