Hey there, Denise! Welcome back to planDisney!
It sounds like you have an amazing visit in the works. While the theme parks and attractions are understandably the stars of the show at Walt Disney World, it’s the
Enchanting Extras Collection that can really elevate a vacation into something magical.
I love your ideas so far, and I would add a few other activities for you to consider. If you’re looking for outdoor fun, you’ll want to head over to Fort Wilderness, where they offer archery, horseback riding, wagon rides, canoeing, and more. It sounds like you’re also interested in getting up close to some of the resort’s animal residents, so be sure to look into
Starlight Safari at Animal Kingdom Lodge, where you get to explore the savanna after dark with night-vision devices and see over 30 species of African wildlife!
Now, if I have the opportunity to leave the kids at home and enjoy the Vacation Kingdom of the World with my wife, I make sure we enjoy some fine dining. My favorites are California Grill at the Contemporary Resort, Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios, and Toledo at Coronado Springs Resort. If there are only two of you, then it’s also easier to get into popular bars and lounges like
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at the Polynesian Village Resort, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs, La Cava del Tequila at EPCOT, and Nomad Lounge at Animal Kingdom.
And if you want to combine an exciting tour with fine dining, then Walt Disney World has you covered! I haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy
Savor the Savanna myself, where you get to enjoy a delicious African-inspired meal and private tour of the Animal Kingdom’s savanna, but it’s very high on my vacation to-do list.
Whatever you decide to do, I hope you have a fantastic adults-only trip to Walt Disney World. Don’t hesitate to come back if you have more vacation planning questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!
Magical travels!
Matt
