Does the Beast still make appearances at Be Our Guest? If yes, is the appearance specific to lunch or dinner?

Hello April! And now I invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair, as planDisney proudly presents: your answer. You can start humming the rest of the song now.

Thank you for bringing a question to planDisney about my favorite Disney Dining experience – Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park! Beast invites Guests to enjoy lunch and dinner in his castle! Guests can dine in the Grand Ballroom where Belle and Beast shared their first dance, the West Wing which is home to the enchanted rose, or in the Rose Gallery which is home to so many of Belle’s beloved books, as well as portraits of Belle and Beast’s special moments!

The master of the castle, Beast himself, does make regular appearances during both lunch and dinner. Beast will visit all three of the dining rooms. This dining experience is not technically considered “character dining” as there is not an opportunity to meet the Beast or get photographs. However, Guests can certainly take photos or selfies from their seats. I’ve been able to capture quite a few photos of my family with Beast in the background. Also, Guests are provided with a very nice autograph card featuring artwork of the castle along with Beast’s autograph! I have mine framed in my office! Please note that character appearances are subject to change.

April, if dining in the Grand Ballroom, be sure to watch the snowfall outside the wall of windows at the far end of the room. And, if you’re dining in the West Wing, keep your eyes on the tattered portrait of the prince hanging on the wall. As the approaching thunderstorm gets louder you might notice a change to the portrait.

Be Our Guest Restaurant is incredibly popular! Be sure to make reservations 60 days in advance of your vacation arrival date!

    Dreams do come true!
