Hello there, Jagger. Welcome to planDisney and thanks for dropping by to share your out-of-this-world question with us.
I'm thrilled to hear that you will be attending
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. Now that you have your ticket secured to this fabulous event, it sounds like your next step is figuring out what to wear. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the
Costume Guidelines for special events.
You'll see that masks are not allowed as well as headwear that covers the face for Guests aged 14 and older. Given these two guidelines, I'd be inclined to think that any face paint that disguises your identity may not be allowed. My panelist pal,
Elaine, recently answered a similar question. I also chatted with a Cast Member who shared that while face paint is not addressed in the Costume Guidelines, what is allowable would be at the discretion of the Cast Members at security. With all of this information, I would probably lean more toward the cautious side to avoid having to undo all of my hard work. As Darth Maul says, "Doubt will only lead to failure."
Since you'll be dressed in your Star Wars best, don't forget to make time to participate in the
special cavalcade led by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. You'll march with other Guests in their space garb down Main Street, U.S.A., and will end with a group photo in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle illuminated with galactic projections. I especially love all of the (sometimes rare) character meet-and-greets that you can find at these events. The last time I attended, I was able to get a photo with my favorite protocol droid, C-3PO.
Well, Jagger, I hope this helps as you're getting ready for this special intergalactic event. Let us know if there's anything else that we can help with as you prepare.
