Your question couldn't be more timely, Kelly. As Obi-Wan would say, "Your insight serves you well." All of the
details for ticket sales were just posted on Disney Parks Blog. Here's the scoop.
General ticket sales will open no later than 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, February 23rd. It also sounds like Babu Frik may have been working on some welcome upgrades to the process since last time. Once you've joined the online queue, there will be a new option to be notified when it's your turn to make your purchase. This sounds like an amazing upgrade and I can't wait to try it out. Quick tip, make sure you are logged into your Disney account before accessing the ticket sale site. This will help speed up the purchasing process. To join the queue and purchase tickets, visit the "Special Event Tickets" page which can be found under the heading "Parks & Tickets" at the Disneyland site.
By chance, are you a
Magic Key holder, Kelly? If so, I have even better news for you. Magic Key holders will have access to pre-sale opportunities before ticket sales open to the general public. If you are an Inspire Magic Key holder, a limited number of tickets will be available for purchase on Tuesday, February 20th, no earlier than 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time. All other Magic Key holders will have access to a select amount of pre-sale tickets on Wednesday, February 21st and Thursday, February 22nd (no earlier than 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time).
It's going to be an out-of-this-world event. It's been a couple of years since I've attended, but there are usually quite a few rare characters that can be found during the evening. I love meeting and interacting with characters during these events. The last time I attended, I was able to get a picture with my favorite protocol droid, C-3PO. Unlimited
Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from the event are included in your special event ticket too.
