Hello! I will be there for my birthday which is 2/8, I just noticed it’s also sweethearts night - will the parks be closing early? Just curious so I can plan for that as I had plan to stay until closing. Thank you!

Happy unbirthday, Zayna, and welcome to planDisney. Your actual birthday will be here soon, so in true Wonderland style, let's pour a cup of tea and talk about celebrating at Disneyland Resort. Sometimes, the schedule can get curiouser and curiouser!

My son's birthday is a day before yours, so we will be planning festivities, too. But we won't be at the Happiest Place on Earth, so I'm a bit jealous. Be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday button at City Hall in Disneyland Park because the well-wishes you'll receive will have you grinning like the Cheshire Cat.

I checked the Daily Event Schedule online; you are correct that Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts' Nite will begin at 9:00 PM on February 8. But the news worth celebrating is that regular park guests can stay until 8:00 PM. Since the park opens at 8:00 AM, that's 12 hours of birthday fun!

If you're staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel, you can enjoy early entry admission at Disneyland Park at 7:30 AM, giving you some quality bonus time in the park. Just so you know, Disney California Adventure Park closes at 9:00 PM, so if you add the Park Hopper option to your ticket, you could head to that park anytime after 11:00 AM and stay to watch World of Color - ONE which is scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM. What a perfect way to end your special day!

Please remember that theme park hours and entertainment offerings are subject to change, so watch the events calendar closer to your visit.

Zayna, we're all mad here...mad about birthdays! I'm sending pixie dust and spinning tea cups so you'll have the best birthday ever! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
