Hi Stacy,
A splash in a crisp, clean, cool pool like you will find at a
Disney Water Park is good for the soul when your body is enjoying April in Florida! (Really, any time, but under the spring sun's rays in particular!) I understand why you are excited to enjoy this
new Walt Disney World Resort hotel benefit.
While we do not have much information on exactly how this thrilling new offering might work, it does seem that the included water park admission will be limited specifically to your Resort hotel reservation arrival day. I am sorry to share that with you since I can see that you plan to arrive very late. I wish I had a better answer for you, Stacy.
If you plan to visit the front desk upon arrival rather than using Online Check-In for
Direct To Room service, perhaps kindly share with the friendly Cast Member who will help you that you were hoping to visit a Disney water park, but your arrival time didn't allow for that experience. Walt Disney World Resort is always focused on improving the Guest experience, and your feedback is essential.
There are so many lovely activities outside the theme parks for your family on your quiet day. We have actually come to crave our park-free days! Here are some suggestions:
1.
Fishing. Whether a private fishing excursion suits you or a visit to a quiet, simple riverbank is more your style, you can find it at Walt Disney World Resort. Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside offers both!
2. Boating. Rent motorized craft from Bayside Marina at Disney's Yacht Club Resort or Seaside Marina at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or paddle out a canoe or kayak from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground to explore the natural beauty of Disney.
3.
Archery. Experience the thrill of sending a bow to the target in this unique experience at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
4. Bicycles. Have you ever ridden a bicycle built for four? You can now! Rent a
surrey bike at Disney's BoardWalk or Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside for a whole new way to explore a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Not exactly your style? You could also wind your way through magical trails with a rental from the Bike Barn at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
5. Transportation Challegen. My
planDisney Pal Sue has created a game to try to experience all forms of transportation available at Walt Disney World Resort on the same day! Enjoy the Disney Monorail, Disney Skyliner, Ferry Boat, FriendShip, and a Disney Bus, all between sunrise and sunset. Are you up for the challenge?
This is only a sample of what can be found outside the theme parks, Stacy! Check out some other great tips from my friends
Jason and
Alyssa on
this episode of the planDisney podcast for even more ideas.
I hope that was helpful! Let us know if you have any other questions. We will be here!
Adventure is out there,
