Hi Chrystie!
Welcome to planDisney! We are so happy that YOU are here because we are always thrilled to make new Disney pals. Thanks for joining planDisney with your question.
With around 30,000 acres housing four theme parks,
two water parks, many
Resort hotels,
golf courses (both mini and regulation) and so much more, Walt Disney World Resort is a massive vacation destination! While the travel time from your specific Walt Disney World Resort hotel to each theme park can vary, I estimate that it will take about 45 to 60 minutes en route. This factors in the potential for an official, complimentary, and convenient Disney Bus to arrive at my stop, plus time to walk to the magical gate. You may find your journey shorter if you are using the Disney Monorail,
Disney Skyliner, Disney Boat transportation, or even walking from your Resort hotel to the theme park of the day, but this is a safe estimate.
For example, if you will call
Disney's Contemporary Resort "Home" for your stay, then your walk to Magic Kingdom Park is only about ten minutes. Suppose you are staying at
Disney's Beach Club Resort. In that case, you might decide to walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios in about 15 - 20 minutes or hop aboard a FriendShip for convenient boat transportation that might be a few minutes longer or shorter, depending upon the wait to board.
Chrystie, if you would like to minimize your travel time on the days when a blacktop journey is inevitable, consider using a rideshare service such as
Disney Minnie Van Service through Lyft. I find this is often the quickest way to reach my destination and is generally in the $10 - $50 range, depending on the vehicle type selected.
If you would like more specific information regarding travel time from your Resort hotel to various destinations, please let us know! You can even
ask me directly, and I would love to help you sort out the best plan for you.
Adventure is out there,
Sally
