Hi there, Kristin! Welcome back to planDisney. Dining at the Disneyland Resort is nothing short of magical. Of course, there are always bumps along the way where cancellations may occur. I’ve had my fair share of similar experiences, and I’d love to walk you through what to do!
With your arrival date coming up, take a look at the restaurant you’re planning to dine at and see if there’s a
reservation available at the same time or close to it with your updated party size. If there is availability, I’d recommend canceling your current reservation and booking a new one with the correct headcount.
If you’re not able to make a new reservation, no need to fear! Depending on where you’re dining, if you can get to the
restaurant before your reservation time, I’d go ahead and stop by. Let the Cast Member at the host stand know about the change to your party so they can update your table when it’s time to dine. I’ve done something similar when my family had a party of five at
Plaza Inn for character dining and one person couldn’t make it. We were in the parks the day before, so I was able to stop by and let them know ahead of time so they could make the appropriate adjustments. If you can’t get there beforehand, letting them know when you check in will help too!
Kristin, thank you so much for visiting planDisney with your question. I hope you have a magical time dining on all sorts of delicious foods. If you need any more help planning your upcoming visit, planDisney is here for you!
With a Sprinkle of Pixie Dust,
Bev
