I've been working and planning our 2025 Disney vacation, which is not booked up as yet, my wife has a special mile stone birthday 26th Dec and I would hope to book a birthday dinner that takes in the views of Happy Ever after fireworks. Can you advise

    Hi Alan!

Welcome to planDisney!  I'm so glad that you stopped by for a little help planning a sweet surprise for your wife's birthday celebration next year!  Even though your trip is still over a year away, I never feel like it's too early to start dreaming big dreams and planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation that is practically perfect in every way!

Alan, since you're planning a visit the week of Christmas, there are a few things to keep in mind.  While specific details about 2025 celebrations and festivities won't be released until much closer to the time, I can share that the Happily Ever After fireworks are not being shown at Magic Kingdom Park on the days surrounding Christmas this year, but that doesn't mean that you'll be left without a magical nighttime spectacular!  This year, Guests will be able to enjoy Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks from December 21 through December 29 with regular park admission and then Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks to ring in the new year on December 30 and December 31.

From inside the park, you can often find the best viewing locations right in front of the Castle or along Main Street, U.S.A., but there are also some wonderful options outside of the park as well.  In my opinion, the best option to combine dinner and fireworks viewing is California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Not only can you see the show and hear the music piped into the restaurant from your table, but there is also an outside terrace viewing area that you can enjoy as well.  We have also been able to watch fireworks from inside 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

As you may imagine, dining reservations that offer a fireworks view are incredibly popular.  I definitely recommend being ready to book your advanced dining reservations as soon as the window opens.  It's important to keep in mind that if you're staying at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection or other select hotels, you get the added advantage of booking dining reservations 60 days before your check-in date for the entire length of your stay.  If you are unable to grab a dining reservation right away, keep checking back, as you'll sometimes see options open up closer to your trip as plans change for other Guests.

Another option you may want to consider is the fireworks dining that is available at EPCOT.  Currently, both Spice Road Table and Rose & Crown Dining Room offer fireworks dining packages during Luminous The Symphony of Us.  Regardless of which location you choose, you'll be able to enjoy a great meal, waterfront dining, and a beautiful spot to catch this moving show!

Alan, I hope this information has been helpful, and I'm sending lots of pixie dust your way as you plan what I'm sure will be a magical visit full of wonderful celebrations!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
