I am wondering why our free water park passes are not included in our plans and our tickets? How do we gain access to the water park without magic bands and if two people from our party plan to arrive before I arrive. (I made the reservations for all)

    Hello there, Heather!

I’m so glad you splashed by planDisney with your question! It sounds like you have an exciting visit coming up, and I’d be more than happy to help you navigate the waters of your complimentary water park admission

Your free water park access should "automagically" appear in your My Disney Experience app on your check-in day, though sometimes it pops up the day before. If you don’t see it yet, don’t worry, as it should be there once you arrive!

Since you won’t have MagicBands, you have a couple of easy options to enter the water park. You can stop by your Disney Resort hotel’s front desk to pick up a Key to the World card, or you can use Disney MagicMobile Service by adding your pass to the wallet app on your phone. The two members of your party listed on your reservation that are arriving before you can do the same thing. Even if you aren’t there yet, they’ll just need to visit the front desk to get set up.

Now, as for which water park will be open during your trip, Disney hasn’t made an official announcement yet. They typically release the schedule 60 days in advance, so you should have more details in just a few weeks. But as a general rule, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is usually open in the spring and summer, while Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park tends to open in the fall and winter.

One more planDisney tip: if you’re hoping for a little extra comfort and convenience during your water park visit, you might want to look into reserved chair rentals. These include two lounge chairs, two beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and four towels. There are plenty of first-come, first-served chairs throughout the park, but if you’re arriving later in the day, reserving a space can be a great way to guarantee some shade and relaxation.

I hope this helps, Heather! Wishing you a splash-tastic trip, and if you have any other questions, just let me know. "Sea" ya real soon!
